Intellectual Capital Efficiency and Technological Innovation

Abstract:
The firm innovation capacity has been linked to intellectual knowledge and assets and to the ability to deploy them. However, prior literature has not gone in depth on what factors of intellectual capital may condition the firm ability to develop innovation outputs.
Therefore, the aim of this article is investigate the influence intellectual, human and structural capital efficiency on technological innovation.
The results show that structural capital efficiency is a driving factor of technological innovation, that is to say, the relational and organizational firm characteristics are crucial to obtain technological innovation results, while human capital does not exert strong significant effects.
